Favourite Right-of-Center Columnists

May 13 - John of Right Wing News requested that right-of-center bloggers submit in ranked order their favourite columnists and the results are in. I was among those polled and the hardest part was definitely the ranking.

It is an impressive list. Mark Steyn came in first, Charles Krauthammer came in second, and Victor Davis Hanson came in fifth.

John has provided links for the columnists to their home pages or to their publication sites for those who might be interested in reading what these columnists offer. There are a couple of gems in the group and worth the time and effort to check them out.

1 I can't fault the choice of Mark Steyn - he's definitely on my A list. I know there are many fine columnists, one of my favourites is George Jonas who writes for the National Post.

2 Good choice, John. I used to read Jonas and other NP columnists regularly before they were put behind a subscription wall. I'm fairly certain Steyn would win if Canadian bloggers selected their favourite right-of-center columnists too!

3 It was a sad day when Steyn quit the Post.

4 You have totally depressed the hell out of me. I've been remembering the days when I could log onto the Post and read Frum, Coyne, Steyn, Jonas and others and then hit the button for the Financial Post and start with Diane Francis. I must have spent hours on their site, all of which was, you know, "time well spent."
