Old Glory

US flag waving2.jpg

You're a grand old flag,
You're a high flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave.
You're the emblem of
The land I love.
The home of the free and the brave.
Ev'ry heart beats true
'neath the Red, White and Blue,
Where there's never a boast or brag.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
Keep your eye on the grand old flag.

1 Recognition and loyalty to the USA and Canadian flags is the same as respect for all those who secured the freedom and opportunity we take for granted today, with their lives. I*m proud to say I volunteered, served and aside from a close adventure with possible nuclear war during the Cuban Missle crisis, got through unscathed. I wish a bigger percentage of our left leaning school teachers could teach kids of today just how important hard won freedom and democracy is. To be patriotic, in other words. TG
