Terror attacks in Iraq
June 24 - The death and injury toll in Iraq continues to climb as those who oppose Iraq self-rule target the men and women who would provide security for their own country (92 killed in multiple attacks in Iraq.)

If the media (and Michael Moore) weren't so obsessed with their Bush-hatred, maybe they would see, as I do, that those Iraqis who are signing up to become part of and defend the new Iraq are the true inheritors of the Minutemen legacy.

You're right, Alan, but even so it's depressing that the fear many have about terrorism is taking refuge in that hatred. It's like cowardice times two.

Just remember your American history and what happened to a lot of the Foundindg Fathers. They sacrificed everything for Freedom and in doing so created a legacy of Freedom and Independence that still stands as Reagan said as the shining hope for the rest of the world. Freedom isn't Free. While being a bit of bumper sticker wisdom, it is tettibly true. The Iraquis are going to have to go through some bad days but everything this valuable has ahigh price. The frigging Easteners in this country should remember this also.

When I think of our forefathers, I remember that they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honour to the cause of liberty.
The Iraqis too can take pride that their freedom is something for which they have bled and fought, and they will value it all the more and pass that love of liberty on to their children.
